Sidney Health Center Recognized for Performance Improvement Award
November 19, 2025

Sidney Health Center has been honored as a recipient of the 2025 Patient Safety Award through the Performance Improvement Network (PIN) Quality Improvement Awards, recognizing healthcare organizations across Montana for innovative projects that enhance patient safety and clinical care.

Sidney Health Center earned this award for its work focused on the HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) “Responsiveness of Staff” domain. Efforts included:

  • Promptly answering call lights
  • Responding to patient needs with empathy and urgency
  • Collaborating across departments to deliver faster, safer care

The Montana Hospital Association (MHA) formally recognized Sidney Health Center at the Montana Healthcare Conference in October. The award celebrates the organization’s success in improving staff responsiveness, as reflected in patient feedback collected through the HCAHPS survey.

This accomplishment was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Nursing, Radiology/Imaging, Respiratory Care, Rehab Services, and Social Services, along with the leadership of the HCAHPS Task Force. These teams have worked together to strengthen a culture of compassion, teamwork, and patient-centered care throughout the organization.

The Montana Rural Healthcare Performance Improvement Network (PIN) is a voluntary membership network of 50 critical access hospitals statewide. Through PIN, member hospitals can benchmark their performance against peers on a variety of financial, utilization, and direct patient care measures. These measures are based on national benchmarks but are tailored to reflect the realities of Montana’s rural population, helping ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care in even the most remote communities.
