March is designated as National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. The American Cancer Society encourages people who have no identified risk (other than age) to begin regular colorectal cancer screening at age 50. There will be a free Men's Health Screening for men ages 55-75 years on March 15 from 3-5 PM. No appointment is necessary.

The President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Dr. Monica Bertagnolli will be visiting Sidney and interviewing cancer patients and learning about the challenges patients, caregivers and staff experience in a rural area.
