SHC Employees Complete Workforce Solutions Certificate Program
Sidney Health Center is proud to recognize the following individuals for successfully completing the Workforce Solutions Certificate Program in partnership with Miles Community College:
- Marlin Alcazar-Mercado, Lodge Administrative Assistant
- Roxanne Bakken, Outpatient Coordinator
- Heather Wall, Credentialing/Outreach Coordinator
- Dustin Heck, Hospital Registrar
This impressive program, spanning from the fall of 2023 through the spring of 2025, is designed for outstanding employees whose work achievements and core values exemplify Sidney Health Center’s I CARE Standards.
Each of these individuals demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance throughout the two-year program. In the first year, they completed the pre-selected courses of Interpersonal Communication and Introduction to Business Writing. In the second year, they continued their learning journey by completing Medical Terminology, followed by a final course of their choosing from a pre-approved online catalog.
As a token of appreciation for their achievements and maintaining a grade average of C or better, each recipient received an educational stipend at the end of every semester. Their success was further supported by a Miles Community College Navigator, who provided regular guidance and check-ins.
