Ashley Braun Pursues AGNP Degree
Sidney Health Center is excited to highlight Ashley Braun, RN, as she continues her education through hands-on clinical experience at Sidney Health Center Clinic.
Ashley is currently completing clinicals with Sarah Farrow, AGNP, and has also completed clinic hours with Jacquelyn Free, FNP, gaining valuable experience as she works toward becoming an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
Ashley currently serves as the Hyperbaric/Wound Care Supervisor at Sidney Health Center and has been part of the organization since 2024. Her connection to Sidney Health Center began early in her healthcare journey as a Junior Aide at Extended Care. She later became a CNA before attending nursing school in Billings. Since earning her Associate RN in 2006, Ashley has continued to advance her education, earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees along with certifications in wound care and conservative sharp wound debridement.
Ashley is currently enrolled in the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, and is anticipated to graduate in May 2027. Wound care has long been a passion for Ashley, and as an AGNP, she hopes to continue serving Hyperbaric and Wound Care patients throughout our region.
Ashley shared, “One of the things I enjoy about rural healthcare is the community. Especially in wound care and primary care, the patients are seeing us on a regular basis, and we get to know them and their families, their likes and dislikes, and what works for them. I feel like rural healthcare provides an opportunity for relationships that bigger facilities and organizations don’t.”
We’re proud to support our own staff as they grow their skills and pursue advanced training, helping strengthen healthcare in our community. Special thanks to Sarah and Jacq for sharing their knowledge and supporting Ashley during her clinical experience!
