Visitor Restrictions

August 27, 2021

To protect the health and safety of our patients and visitors, Sidney Health Center is implementing the following visitor restrictions as cases of COVID-19 are on the rise in our community. At this time, the following guidelines apply to non-COVID patients in all hospital settings including ER, Med/Surg, Surgery, Maternity, Clinic and Cancer Care:

  • One designated visitor per patient per day*
  • All visitors will be screened upon entry to the facility
  • No visitors under the age of 18
  • Mask required for all visitors

*Pediatric patients are allowed one support person (parent/guardian) as well as one designated visitor per day.

Please note that accommodations will be made for patients at end-of-life and/or trauma situations on a case-by-case basis.

Sidney Health Center Extended Care is following the CMS nursing home guidelines regarding county positivity rate. Click here for Extended Care Visitor Guidelines.

Visitor Expectations:

Visitors continue to be screened at all of our entrances. This includes a temperature check and questions related to any COVID-like symptoms. All who enter are required to wear a mask per the CMS guidelines. Those who are properly screened will receive a sticker to wear during their visit.

If you are allowed visitation, please be aware that you are assuming a risk that you may become sick, or that you may spread sickness to your family members in the hospital or at home. By choosing to take that risk, you also have a responsibility to self-quarantine from the last known exposure to a COVID-19 positive patient, as well as monitor and report to your healthcare provider any new symptoms.
