Interventional Pain Management

Sidney Health Center Inverventional Pain Management, lead by Dr. Christine Hoglund, treats acute and chronic pain through a well-rounded, multidisciplinary approach to improve daily functionality and overall health. Unlike traditional pain management, interventional pain management uses minimally invasive procedures to intervene and disrupt the signals of pain.

Upon a referral, our physicians perform a comprehensive medical evaluation and pinpoints the exact cause of pain with the use of diagnostic injections, if necessary. To relieve the pain at its source, the Interventional Pain Management Clinic provides several therapeutic injection procedures for long-lasting relief including:

  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Joint & Bursa Injections (including Facet & Sacroiliac)
  • Nerve Blocks (including Intercostal, Occipital & Intercostal)
  • Peripheral Nerve Sensory Denervation with Pulsed Radiofrequency
  • Radiofrequency Ablation (including Cervical, Thoracic & Lumbar Facet)
  • Trigger Point Injections
  • Transversus Abdominis Plane (TAP)

Complimentary and alternative medicine such as physical therapy, chiropractic techniques, acupuncture, and massage therapy may be used in combination with the interventional procedures.

Through a team-based approach, the Interventional Pain Management Clinic team works closely with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, chiropractors, physical therapists to manage pain in a variety of ways.
