Sidney Health Center is pleased to announce the addition of Chastity Edwards, M.D. to the medical staff. Dr. Edwards is a surgical specialist in obstetrics and gynecology and will be joining Dr. Shari Twigg’s practice in late November 2013.

Rick Haraldson, Sidney Health Center CEO stated, “We are thrilled to provide additional coverage for our women’s health services with the addition of Dr. Edwards. She will be great addition to the medical staff and we look forward to having her on staff to help meet the ever-changing needs of our community.”

Dr. Edwards, who is a Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist, will provide essential obstetrical services including basic infertility work up and counseling as well as the management of pregnancies through delivery and follow-up care. Gynecologic services will include comprehensive health education, annual exams and screenings, and operative procedures such as hysterectomies, ablations, and hysteroscopy.

Dr. Edwards received her medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH and also completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency there. She has been practicing in Maryland since completing residency in 2007. In fact, Dr. Edwards was awarded the honor as one of Chesapeake Family Magazine’s Top 100 Physicians due to her attention to detail and rapport with patients.

Dr. Edwards is looking forward to practicing in rural Montana. She indicated what she values most about practicing medicine are the bonds and connections established with patients and their family members.
