Employees of Sidney Health Center enjoy competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package including health insurance, flexible spending, life insurance, long term disability, a pension plan, and paid leave time.
Health insurance is available at no cost to full-time employees who work 35 hours or more per week. Sidney Health Center will cover 55% of the cost of health insurance for part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week as well. Family policies are available and the premiums may be deducted on a pre-tax basis. Coverage starts the month after employment begins.
Flexible spending is available to provide tax free dollars for un-reimbursed childcare and health care expenses. This benefit is available for all employees working 20 hours per week or more.
Voluntary Dental, Vision and Cancer Insurance Plans
Employee’s may choose dental, vision, and/or cancer insurance coverage and have the premiums deducted on a pre-tax basis.
Life & AD&D Insurance
Basic Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Coverage is provided free of cost to all full-time employees working at least 35 hours per week. A $5,000 policy is provided; supplemental life insurance coverage may be purchased for the employee, their spouse, and their dependents.
Long Term Disability
A long-term disability benefit is provided for all full-time employees working at least 35 hours per week. Long-term disability provides income protection equal to 65%. A 90 day benefit waiting period applies.
Employees have the option to participate in a variable fund pension plan on a pre-tax basis. Sidney Health Center will match employee contributions up to 3% of the employee’s wages. Participation is voluntary and employees must be at least 19 years old to participate.
Personal Time Off
Employees accrue paid time off (PTO) for vacation, holidays and personal days to total 168 hours (21 days) the first year of employment for full-time employees. Accrual rates increase after 3 years of employment. Accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours worked each week. A PTO cash out option is available.
Extended Illness Bank
Full-time employees accrue extended illness (sick leave) hours at the rate of 72 hours (9 days) per year. Accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours worked per pay period.
Full-time and part-time employees are eligible to receive up to a 20% discount on Sidney Health Center Hospital and Clinic bills for payments made on-time and in-full. The discount is provided upon request at the time of the payment; a valid employee name badge must be presented. Alternatively, employees are also offered extended payment plan options.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free and confidential resource for employees and their families. The service offers caring, professional help for a broad range of concerns—from routine problems to serious life issues. Services are available to all employees and include the following:
- Professional, confidential counseling for you, your household members, and your dependents at no out-of-pocket cost
- Prompt, convenient and accessible counseling
- Referral to community programs or services provided by your health plan benefit, if necessary
- Toll-free, 24-hr service number
Enhanced Banking Options
All employees are eligible to participate in a Group Savings Plan at Stockman Bank. Voluntary contributions of at least $15.00 per pay period will help employees to set aside and build personal interest bearing savings at a group rate. In addition, Wells Fargo offers a bundle of privileges through its Membership Checking Package, including interest-bearing checking account options, free checks, discounts on new loans, and other special offers.
All Sidney Health Center employees are eligible to receive a 10% discount on Internet services through Mid-Rivers.
Verizon Wireless Discount
All Sidney Health Center employees are eligible to receive a discount on cellular accounts as follows: 22% off of monthly access charges and 25% off of accessories purchased directly through Verizon Wireless.
Employees are eligible to receive discounts on memberships to HealthWorks. If an employee joins the fitness center, Sidney Health Center will pay up to $210.00 per individual employee per year. The employee is required to use the HealthWorks facility at least 8 times a month in order to receive this benefit.
